Now that I have finally got my head on straight from the Austin Game Developers Conference its time to buckle up and get back to work. I met a lot of great people and got some really good connections that will come in handy soon. Even though I am eager to pull the stings on the connections I have to focus on some really fantastic titles that we are working on. One of which is code named SPINNER. I think we have about 2-3 weeks left of development time. We had a pause in the middle to work on other projects but now we are back in place.
I should have some more announcements about our other projects Big Nose and Yellow Jacket soon. Also keep an eye our website. I heard the HTML wizards typing away at some new content. That’s pretty much it for now just wanted to check with you all from the south hall of the Studio IL complex.
Till next time kids!

So it would seem that I will be going at all alone into the wild nerdom that is the Austin Game Developers Conference. I have most of my meetings setup just waiting a few more to accept and I should be good to go. And of course I have several after parties to attend. That is where the magic happens… or so I am telling my boss! I will try and take some pictures of any thing interesting. If you are going to be in the area hit me up!

PS look for more games to start to come out of the Labs in the next few weeks.
Hey there everyone,
as the summer of 09′ comes to a close we thought it’d be good to give a brief update of the goings on here at the studio. (about dang time!)
On the comics side of things we’ve been working feverishly on a book entitled ’Incarnate’ by Nick Simmons which is being published through Radical Comics. You can check out a preview of it here. Nick is taking care of most of the character art this time around with us doing inks, backgrounds and color work. So far it’s been a blast working with Nick. At just 20 yrs old his art and story telling abilities are way ahead of his time. We look forward to working with him and Radical publishing in the future.
Our I-Phone division has been hard at work too. Keep and eye out for such games as ‘Congo Jam‘, a beat and rhythm game, guaranteed to keep your thumbs busy during that morning commute to the rat races. Soon to be released in the I-Phone app store.
But wait theres MORE!
Along with ‘Congo Jam‘ we have several other titles in development, some of which are so awesome I’m literally high fiving myself as I type…which is kinda…mak..ing…it…sor…ta..h..ard….to…type. But unfortunately my boss has duct taped my mouth shut on the matter. I know, lame, but Just take my word for it. It’s worth the wait. Just make sure to check in on us early and often for all the new madness we’re cooking.
So as you know from my twitter account (www.twitter.com/tallgamer) we have been preparing to head to Comic-Con.

As Studio IL primary business is comic books its very important that we present to our contacts there as well do some business development for the Digital Entertainment arm of Studio IL. There have been a lot of late nights and last minute work going into some of the presentations we have been working on. We are sending members who work in the West wing of the Studio IL Complex, Dan McCollum, and from the North bunker Nam Kim. You can read a bit more abuot them here: http://www.studioil.com/our-team.php
I myself will remain in the South Tower of the complex working with the rest of the team on development of the current project, code name “Big Nose”. Needless to say everyone at the complex is busy. Since I can’t go to comiccon, tell me what will you be showing off there? Or who do you want to see?

Well as you can see I am new here and some things have changed as well. Let me introduce myself, my name is Donald Harris and I love video games. I have join the Studio IL team to help manage and bring to life the ideas that are swarming in Nam’s, Keith’s and Dan’s head. As things move forward I will be writing to blog about the develop process both good and bad.
This is the reason for the new site. David Hanas (www.davehanas.com) was the artist/genius to come up with this new look to help us show the world that we are now entering into the digital entertainment industry. Please have a look around the new site and make sure to pick up a copy of our premier game Congo Jam!
Please feel free to ask questions are make comments as I would like to have the blog become more interactive.

Hey everyone!
It’s been a long time since our last post here at Studio I.L. , per the usual. We’ve been busy bodies working on several new projects and ventures. In fact, the current just site isn’t big enough to contain all the madness we’re looking to unleash! So in the coming weeks look forward to a BRAND NEW site, completely rebuilt from the ground up using space age web design super synthetic nanotechnology and whatnot. It’ll be easier to navigate and pleasing to the senses. We’ll be sure to keep you posted as things progress.

(Hey that kinda rhymes) Be sure to keep an eye on our gallery page, we’ll be posting pages from our most recent project StarCraft: Frontline Volume 2 (v. 2) which is available Dec. 30th 2008 at all major bookstores. Hey folks,
for anyone wondering where our forum went…well it’s gone. Yup, it had been a thorn in our craw for awhile now and well it’s not like anyone really used it anyway so I doubt it’ll be missed all that much. We could better use the extra server space anyway. Any crits or feedback can be left here from now on. Any project updates, site updates, just updates in general will be here too.
Stay tuned. We’ll be posting a few samples from our forthcoming ‘Star Craft’ book soon.

Irrasshaimase!
We’d just like to thanks all those who took the time to stop by our booth at the 2nd annual NYC Anime Fest this past weekend, the feedback we recieved from fans was very positive. Positive feedback around here is a huge moral booster when you’re still up at 3am cramming to beat a deadline ( @_@ ).
We know updates around here have been very, very slow lately. Please stay tuned to the gallery section, as we’re looking to post a new smattering of work there in the coming months.
Domo arigato gozaimasu!
